The Bonnacon is a bizarre beast from medieval bestiaries, said to possess the head of a bull and a body armored with thick hide. Unable to defend itself with horns that curved uselessly inward, the creature relied upon a far stranger weapon. Legends claimed the Bonnacon could unleash blazing, corrosive waste across great distances when threatened, burning anything caught behind it. Though often mocked for its absurd nature, medieval scholars recorded the creature alongside dragons and basilisks as though it truly roamed the wild frontiers of the world.
