Lore

The Dullahan rides through Irish folklore as a headless harbinger of death mounted upon a black horse beneath the night sky. Carrying its own severed head beneath one arm, the creature was said to stop before the home of anyone doomed to die, calling out their name before vanishing into darkness. Its grin stretched unnaturally wide across its pale face while its whip was fashioned from a human spine. No lock or gate could bar the Dullahan’s passage once it began its dreadful ride across the countryside.
