Fenrir

The bound wolf fated to break free of chains and devour gods at Ragnarok

Origin Norse Mythology
Creature Type Beast
Ability World Devourer
Lore

Fenrir is the monstrous wolf of Norse mythology, born of chaos and destined to play a central role in Ragnarök, the end of the world. Even the gods feared the creature’s immense strength as it grew larger with each passing year, its jaws said to stretch wide enough to swallow the heavens themselves. After failing to restrain him with chains forged by mortal means, the gods resorted to deception and bound Fenrir with Gleipnir, a magical ribbon crafted from impossible things. Yet prophecy foretold that one day the wolf would break free, devouring Odin and plunging the world into ruin beneath fire and storm.
