Vengeful ghost bound to the mortal world by betrayal and injustice
Gwishin are restless spirits from Korean folklore, wandering the world after death with unfinished business binding them to the living. Often depicted in pale funeral garments with long dark hair obscuring their faces, they are said to appear silently in abandoned places, forests, and lonely roads. Unlike monstrous demons, Gwishin are driven by grief, betrayal, vengeance, or sorrow too powerful to fade. Their presence is often marked by unnatural silence, freezing air, and the terrible feeling of being watched from the darkness.
