A blazing beast that hunts souls across the night
Hellhounds stalk through myth and folklore across many cultures as monstrous dogs tied to death, the underworld, and supernatural omens. With burning eyes, black fur, and terrible snarls echoing through the night, they were believed to guard forbidden realms or hunt lost souls beneath moonless skies. In some legends, hearing the howl of a Hellhound foretold imminent death or disaster. Travelers crossing lonely roads and graveyards often feared the sound of heavy paws following just beyond the edge of the firelight.
