Mothman is one of America’s most famous cryptids, first reported in the forests and abandoned industrial regions surrounding Point Pleasant, West Virginia during the 1960s. Witnesses described a towering winged figure with glowing red eyes capable of silent flight through the darkness. Strange sightings were often accompanied by feelings of dread, electrical disturbances, and unexplained events. Following the collapse of the Silver Bridge in 1967, many believed Mothman had appeared as a terrible omen warning of impending disaster.
