A horse-headed trickster that warps paths and minds
The Tikbalang is a towering creature from Filipino folklore, recognized by its humanoid body and the head and legs of a horse. Said to dwell within forests and remote mountain trails, the Tikbalang delighted in confusing travelers and leading them hopelessly astray. Legends tell of wanderers becoming trapped in endless circles beneath twisted trees while eerie laughter echoed through the darkness. Though often feared as a trickster spirit, some stories claimed the Tikbalang guarded sacred places hidden deep within the wilderness.
