Vampires are among the world’s most enduring legends, appearing across countless cultures as undead beings sustained by the blood of the living. Ancient tales described them rising from graves at night to prey upon villages, spreading fear, disease, and death wherever they wandered. Though their appearances varied across regions, vampires were often linked to curses, immortality, and forbidden hunger. Candlelit towns once carried out rituals to ward against the dead returning from their tombs, terrified that something buried beneath the earth still thirsted in the darkness.
